Our Story

Tundra-heron began with a simple observation: too many Canadian homes were filled with mass-produced pieces that could have come from anywhere, while talented local makers struggled to reach the people who would most appreciate their work.

We set out to bridge that gap. Over the years, we have traveled to workshops in every province, meeting woodworkers, ceramicists, textile artists, metalworkers, and countless other skilled creators. These are people who have dedicated their lives to mastering materials and techniques, often carrying on traditions passed down through generations while adapting to contemporary tastes.

Today, we serve as a connector between these artisans and homeowners seeking something more meaningful than factory furniture. Every piece we source or commission carries a story, a sense of place, and the unmistakable quality that comes only from human hands.
